Hey, I'm Ezra Dahlgren. I'm a fiction writer from rainy Portland, Oregon. I was raised on Hyperion, Dune, The Lord of the Rings, anything by the incredible Ursula K. Le Guin, and many other books you can find at your local library. When it comes to science fiction, I draw on John Scalzi's Old Man's War as well as The Expanse series (written by two men in a trench coat who call themselves James S.A. Corey), and Rebecca Roanhorse's Trail of Lightning. If you haven't checked her out yet, please get right on that. I'm not kidding, not even a little bit.
Science fiction and fantasy writing is my lifeblood. I believe that good fiction should focus on the human aspect — you should feel like when you're reading a good book, you're right there with the characters on the page. So, with my stuff, that's the primary goal.
Currently, my only published book is a space adventure called The Phantom Cell, wherein a young criminal mastermind escapes his exile and tumbles right into a plot to disrupt our Galaxy's precarious balance of power. The second one, Blindheart, has been getting lots of love due to the COVID pandemic. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, stay safe and smart and please for the love of God wash your hands.
